Akina HD
Akina, a calming generative art experience for iPad.
“Some people like to make of life a garden, and to walk only within its paths. Others travel among the wildflowers.” – Japanese Proverb
Designed by DINO, the unique, textless interface encourages you to explore composition through the organic growth of wildflowers. With just five different plants to cultivate, you can create amazingly different compositions.
When you are feeling stress, take a moment to travel through Akina and let the soothing act of creation calm your spirit.

I love the app….the only thing I cannot figure out is what is the bug thing that appears when I hold my finger at the top of the screen….and is there a way to change what plants I can put when I want to put them on there? Thanks for a relaxing app!!!!!
Thank you so much for trying out Akina!
Try holding down your finger anywhere in the top part of the screen. This will make the bug widget appear. Keep your finger on the screen and you’ll notice that there are several flower types growing out of the widget.
Slide your finger onto one of those flower types. When you let go of the screen, you will hear a “whooshing” sound. This lets you know that the flower type has changed.
Thanks for putting this together!
I love this app. Great graphics, charming music, one hundred stars!
I think there is a bug, I cannot get the music to play. Every time I close the option menu it resets to being muted. Help!
Hello John, I’ve tried to replicate this issue but can’t seem to. Could you try restarting your iPad? (hold power & home for a few seconds) You may also want to delete the app from your device and reinstall it. I’d love to hear whether the problem persists. Thanks!
What is the camera for in the upper left hand corner?
Hello Kimo, The camera will save your current image in your iPad photo library so you can admire your work later on :)
Nevermind. I just checked photo and found my creations. Thank you for making Akina so intuitive.
Luv this app to!!! 2 alicia, the bug/alien thing is actually the different plants u can use!! Just figured it out myself;)!!
Thanks for the compliment! We’re working on a few more things which you may also enjoy — stay tuned!
Nice, but music tends to get on your nerves, can we have something more minamalistic, ambient please. Thank you.
Lovely. For us, the music is perfect and a prelude to sleep.
